Performance Below Grade. Comfort Above Standard.

Basement spaces deserve the same level of comfort, safety, and energy performance as the rest of your home. Whether you need improved ventilation for a recreation area, expanded clearance for large item access, or compliance with fire egress requirements,

KONIFER basement window systems are engineered to meet those demands with confidence.

K-Edge 6000 Series – Triple Pane Performance

Upgraded from our dual-pane slider platform, this system delivers superior insulation while maintaining smooth horizontal operation and full compliance with egress requirements.
  • • Dual-operating sliders for flexible ventilation
    • Removable sashes for effortless cleaning
    • ENERGY STAR® certified triple-pane option
    • Optional Jet Black exterior wrap for a bold architectural finish

The double-slider configuration allows opening from either side, offering improved airflow control and a larger unobstructed opening when required.

K-Core 4000 Series – Hopper Configuration
The K-Core 4000 Top-Hinged Hopper system opens inward to provide maximum ventilation and full access when needed. Ideal for compact openings, this design supports fire egress code requirements while maintaining structural integrity and thermal efficiency.

Window performance begins with intelligent design and proper installation—but glass technology is what ultimately defines energy efficiency.

The right glazing configuration has the greatest impact on thermal insulation, solar control, and overall comfort.

Different glass options are engineered for different environments.

Before selecting your glazing package, consider your regional climate conditions. Colder climates demand higher insulating performance, advanced Low-E coatings, and optimized gas fills to maximize thermal efficiency and reduce heat loss.

Did you know? ENERGY STAR® certified windows can help reduce energy consumption by up to 16%, improving both comfort and long-term operating costs.

GLASS PERFORMANCE

All published performance data is reported in imperial units and reflects Centre of Glass (C.O.G.) values generated through Vision v4.0 simulation modeling. U-values and R-values are calculated in accordance with ASHRAE winter design conditions.

Please note that overall window performance is influenced by additional factors including frame construction, cladding, profile design, spacer systems, and installation conditions. Complete unit thermal values may vary depending on the selected configuration.

KONIFER ENERGY CALCULATOR

Know your performance before you commit

Performance made clear. Decisions made confident.

Up to 25% of a home’s energy loss can occur through inefficient windows. In Canada’s varied and demanding climates, selecting the right window configuration is critical to achieving long-term comfort and energy savings. The KONIFER’S Energy Calculator allows you to compare glazing options, insulation levels, and thermal ratings to determine the most efficient solution for your region. Evaluate performance before you invest and choose a configuration engineered for your climate conditions.

Make data-driven decisions, reduce operating costs, and improve your home’s overall energy profile—while enjoying consistent comfort year-round.
